Happy Halloween!

Roman was the cutest little monkey for Halloween. Nicki and I took him trick or treating to a few houses and at least he was happy about staying in his costume. After the first house, he knew to reach in the bowl, pick out his treat, and put it in his pumpkin! Then he came back to our house and had scones and apple cider.

We have a Halloween tradition at our house which we have been doing for the last 14 years - ever since we moved to South Jordan. We make scones with honeybutter, hot chocolate and apple cider and serve it to all the trick or treaters and their parents. We have been doing this for so long that now the grown up kids come back and bring their kids. I think this is the first picture we have ever taken of all the chaos, but we love it! This year it was so warm outside that it was nice to be out in the garage. One of the best things about this is we never have to answer the door. We usually serve about 200 scones and this year was no exception!

That is so fun! I love that idea, when Nick and I settle somewhere I want to do something like that.
