Wendover Concert

I have been waiting to get some more pictures of this fun night sent to me but I keep forgetting to remind my friend. Before too much more time passes, I am just going to go ahead and post this before I forget. On Friday, October 24, as part of my birthday fun this year, our good friend and neighbor Bob had been telling me for months we needed to plan something big for our big birthday this year. He is also turning 50. We kept talking about going to Wendover on the bus to see one of the fun concerts, and finally the talking turned into a plan to go see the group America in concert. They are a band from the 70s, exactly our era, but I didn't really have much memory of any of their hits. But it wasn't really about that for me anyway. Just a good excuse to get a bunch of friends together and do something different. Well Bob being Bob, got completely out of control and we had a group of 23 couples to fill the entire bus! Ray of course was our driver and we chartered the bus so the bus pulled up in front of our house Friday afternoon and we loaded everybody up. We had dinner at the Rainbo casino and it was delicious - lots of crab legs. I did hear some rumors of some of our friends gambling, but I won't mention any names. And the concert exceeded any expectations I had. They were loud but really good and everyone sure seemed to enjoy themselves. My camera got broken just as we were leaving so this is the only picture I got, just before we took off. I was having fun, no matter what the picture looks like. Bob and Debbie went to so much work to make sure this was a fun night. We all decided this is something we should do again, at least twice a year. Who has the next birthday?
